Regarding The Ebell Club. The club was organized to promote culture, education, and philanthropy, and has carried on this work for over 100 years, with chapters across California. The clubs were named for Dr. Adrian Ebell who encouraged advancement for women. Women's clubs of that early era were critically important to the passing of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote in 1920.
This building is now the home of the Santa Paula Theater Center.
