Location. 40° 16.589′ N, 87° 15.345′ W. Marker is in Attica, Indiana, in Fountain County. Memorial can be reached from South Perry Street south of Booth Avenue. Marker located in Riverside Cemetery. 3. Muzzle View - - 24-pdr Field Howitzer Model 1841
The muzzle marking from the top, clockwise, read "C.A. & Co.", "1324", "1862", "T.J.R.", "No. 16." These markings indicate this howitzer was produced by Cyrus Alger & Co. in 1862. The howitzer weighed 1,324 pounds when inspected by Thomas J. Rodman for acceptance, and assigned the registry number 16.
