1. First Pinchot Road Marker

Inscription. To "get the farmer out of the mud" was the road from here to Rossville. Gov. Gifford Pinchot broke ground here, July 23, 1931, to inaugurate the rural road improvement program of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways under the Act of June 22, 1931.

Erected by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

Location. 40° 6.948′ N, 76° 52.034′ W. Marker is in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, in York County. Marker is at the intersection of Rosstown Road PA 177 and Bull Road, on the right when traveling north on Rosstown Road PA 177. Touch for map.
