1. The Underground Railway Marker
Inscription. This boulder commemorates a station of the Underground Railway used from 1840 to 1850. It was the home of Stephen Bogue who aided runaway slaves on their way to freedom.
 
Erected 1931 by Woman's Club of Cassopolis, Michigan.
 
Location. 41° 55.122′ N, 85° 57.501′ W. Marker is near Vandalia, Michigan, in Cass County. Marker is at the intersection of State Highway 60 and Crooked Creek Road, on the right when traveling east on State Highway 60. Touch for map.
