More about this marker. With regards to the date that this marker was erected, the NMP historian, Jim Ogden, states the following: "Records [for this marker] are pretty sparse.... For those [records] for the Regular units, there too seems to be little trace of them in the records. But, we do have the design drawing for them and it is dated 1906. They are not referenced in the NMP Annual Report for FY 1906 nor in that for FY 1911. Unfortunately, the annual reports for FY 1907-1910 inclusive are missing." Jim Ogden goes on to conclude that the date that this marker was erected was, "1907-1910 probably."
