1. The Butternut Tree Marker
Inscription. Oldest and largest known tree of its species in New Jersey. Stands on site of 18th century Mead Farm. Hull, nuts, and bark traditionally used by Indians and Colonists.
 
Erected 1978 by Morris County Heritage Commission.
