Regarding Last Prison of Maximilian. Maximilian and his two generals were kept here until the end of their trial. On June 19, 1867 they were taken to the nearby Hill of Bells (Cerro de las Campanas) and executed by a firing squad, putting an end to the Second Mexican Empire under France.
