Desde éste lugar escribió diferentes cartas, dirigidas principalmente
al Lic. López Rayón. En una de ellas fechadas 7 de Noviembre del 1812,
corrige el proyecto de Constitución redactando: “La figura de Fernando VII
es hipotética”, de ésta manera le quita la máscara a la Independencia.

From this place he wrote many letters, directed mainly to López Rayón. In one of them dated November 7, 1812, he corrected the draft Constitution by writing: "The figure of Fernando VII is hypothetical." In this way he removed the mask from the movement’s independence goals.

Regarding General José María Morelos y Pavón. José María Morelos (b. Valladolid (today Morelia), c. September 30, 1765 - d. Ecatepec, December 22, 1815) Morelos was a priest, military revolutionary and Mexican patriot, who organized and was the architect of the second stage (1811-1815) of the Mexican War of Independence. The second stage of Independence generally begins with the execution of Hidalgo and his co-conspirators. He was known as the "Servant of the Nation." Morelos was captured and executed by the Spanish.
