Regarding Site of the Rogers House. At this site, Josephine Miller, the granddaughter of farm owner Peter Rogers, stayed for all 3 days of the battle of Gettysburg, baking bread and caring for the wounded. She particularly endeared herself to the men of the 1st Massachusetts Infantry, whose monument is nearby.
