Titan 1 Launch Complex
The entire launch complex was buried deep underground, and all the facilities withing it were connected by 2,500 feet of steel passageways that were forty feet deep in the ground.
Once the launch sequence was initiated, one of the three Titan I missiles located at the complex was fueled in its silo, carried to the surface by an elevator, and then launched.
