Cheatham's Division - Major General Benjamin F. Cheatham.
Hindman's Division - Major General Thomas C. Hindman.
The divisions of this Corps were separated during the battle of the second day. Cheatham's Division was attached to the right wing and posted to the right and rear of Breckinridge's division in reserve. A part of it became engaged during the afternoon on the right of Cleburne's Division. Hindman was in the front line on the left of Bushrod R. Johnson, being the left division of the left wing. He advanced soon after 11 a.m., on Sheridan's and Davis's Divisions, pushed them across the Crawfish Springs road, and pursued them to the crest of the high ground west of that road. Hindman then joined Bushrod R. Johnson's Division at the Vittetoe house and took part in the assaults on Snodgrass Hill.
