Inscription.

An original Shiretown building, the bottom floor of the Gaol was built with three cells and a gaol keeper's apartment. The second story was added around 1902 to provide better accommodations for the gaol keeper's family.

À l'origine un édifice du chef-lieu de comté, trois cellules de prisonnier et l'habitation du geôlier se trouvaient au premier étage de la prison. Le deuxième étage y fut ajouté autour de 1902 afin d'offrir un logement qui convenait davantage à la famille du geôlier.
