Inscription. U.S. Navy submarines paid heavily for their success in World War II. A total of 374 officers and 3131 men are on board these 52 U.S. Submarines still on “patrol.”

4. The abandoned U.S.S. Ling Museum site

The USS Ling Museum has been closed due to Hurricane Sandy damage. Excepting the three memorial plaques, every marker has been removed and any remaining displays, including USS Ling, are in derelict condition.
