Enlarged Erie Canal Lock No. 51, and its marker, are located approximately 2 miles west of the Village of Jordan, Onondaga County, N.Y. on the north side of Route 31. Touch for map. This is the wall that was added to the lock in 1884 when it was "lengthened", thus allowing two canal boats to lock through in tandem.
