Regarding General Camerino Z. Mendoza. Camerino Z. Mendoza was a supporter of Francisco I. Madero during the Mexican Revolution. After Madero's death, he was persecuted and eventually killed in his mother's home by Gaudencio de la Lave, a follower of Huerta, on March 8, 1913. His two brothers were also killed in the same incident and the home burned. His home municipality was renamed in his honor after the Revolution.
