In memory of
Ignace Jan Paderewski
artist, composer, musician, statesman, patriot, humanitarian and friend of American war veterans, who, from his death to the rebirth of freedom in his homeland, here rested in honor and in dignity. Now may his soul be eternally at peace and his memory entombed in the land of his fathers, a free Poland.
 
Erected 1992 by The American Legion.

In memory of our outstanding Polish patriot and pianist virtuoso, Ignace Paderewski, who lies entombed here at the site of the mast of the Main. This tree was planted and dedicated by the Polish Legion of American Veterans and Auxiliary on April 24, 1975.
