1. Hasty Cottage Post Office Marker
Inscription.
This Florida Cracker Cottage was one of
several built in the 1860s by Nathaniel
and Elizabeth Hasty, early Ponce Park
settlers, who are buried across the street
in a family cemetery, along with their
faithful handyman, “Cocoa” Bill
Williams. In the early 1940s, this
cottage served as the last Post Office in
Ponce Park With Ellen Meyer as
Postmistress.
