Forsburg Park Sundial
Time is a paradox. . . we never seem to have enough.
Yet we have all the time there is.
We chose the sundial the oldest known device for
Measuring time as a means of taking time to say
thank you for all our blessings. The sundial
marks time by measuring the angle of the
shadow cast by the sun an is believed to
have been used in Babylon as early as 2000 B.C.
May this memorial remind you that all mortals
time on earth is limited and that you must take
time to enjoy your life as well as time
to enjoy the ones you love.

Time
Nothing is longer since it is the measure of eternity.
Nothing is shorter, since it is insufficient for the Accomplishment of our projects.
Nothing is more slow to him that expects. Nothing more rapid to him that enjoys.
In greatness it extends to infinity. In smallness, it is infinitely Divisible.
All men neglect it. All regret the loss of it. Nothing can be done without it.
It consigns to oblivion whatever is unworthy of being transmitted to posterity and it immortalizes such actions as are truly great.
