1. King's Hill Skirmish Marker
On October 23, 1864, U.S. troops under Brig. Gen. W.L. Elliot, Chief of U.S. Calvary, Dept. of the Cumberland, advanced upon Maj. Gen. Joseph Wheeler's Confederate forces positioned on King's Hill. The C.S. troop's fell back to another line of works two miles beyond.
