Regarding Ohio Thirtieth Regiment. This unit was attached to Brigadier General Hugh Ewing's 3d Brigade of Major General Francis P. Blair's 2d Division, Major General's William T. Sherman's and Frederick Steel's XV Army Corps, and commanded by Lt. Colonel George H. Hildt and Colonel Theodore Jones.
