Murder!. . Dominic Manna lived in a shack or cave in the side of this hill, even though he was reported to have had more money than most of his fellow quarry workers. He ate his meals at the home of fellow worker August Falcineli, the company's mule driver. Manna allegedly fell in love with Falcineli's young wife and shot August Falcineli to death. Since there were no witnesses to the shooting, the Ozaukee County Circuit Court relied on scientific and circumstantial evidence to convict Manna.
Manna's trial may have been the first to use gun shot patterns to prove guilt. This crime of passion is said to be the only murder in the history of the little village of Stonehaven. . This historical marker is in Belgium in Ozaukee County Wisconsin
