Location. 34° 55.502′ N, 85° 16.054′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Walker County. Memorial can be reached from the intersection of Vittetoe-Chickamauga Road and Vittoe Road, on the right when traveling south. This historical marker is located in the northwest section of the Chickamauga National Military Park, near the South Carolina State Monument. To view this historical marker drive to the parking area for the South Carolina Monument on the Vittetoe-Chickamauga road, park in the pull out and walk west to the marker. Touch for map.
