L'hiver, un pont de glace partait de ce rivage, en direction de Montmorency ou de Québec. Parmi les bénévoles qui le traçaient et l'entretenaient, Barthélemy Noël et les siens s'en chargeront durant un demi-siècle.
Les épiciers Blais venaient ici découper des blocs de glace, les entreposaient dans leur grande glacière derrière leur commerce, puis les livraient aux villageois et aux vacanciers.

In winter, an ice bridge departed this shore in the direction of Montmorency or Quebec City. Among the volunteers who traced and cared for it, Barthélemy Noël and his family did so for half a century.
Blais grocers came here to carve blocks of ice, store them in their big coolers behind their shops, and then deliver them to villagers and vacationers.
