1. 219 North Main Marker

Inscription.
The decorative façade, with elaborate stone window surrounds and stone quoining, invites comparison to the fancy sugar pastries and candies sold here from 1879 to 1909 by Henry Pfeiffer, a confectioner from Braunschweig, Germany.

Henry Pfeiffer's family sold the confectionary shop in 1909 to merchants Polski and Shapiro for $8,000. The two men opened a clothing store that later became known as The Hub, which continued as a men's clothing store until 1980.

Erected 2010 by Historic Downtown Association.
