1. 324 North Main Marker

Inscription. The pantaloon skirt on display in the window created a crowd. Bloomers, introduced in the 1850s, were loose fitting trousers worn by women under a mid-calf length skirt. Pantaloons, introduced at the turn of the century, were worn without skirts, making them for perfect that "vehicle of liberation" the bicycle.
