1. Dreamland Pool Sign
Welcome to Dreamland Pool. Dreamland Pool was first opened in 1926, and the original construction included a three story pavilion. The top floor of the pavilion included a dance floor, where many notable Big Bands played through the 1930s and 1940s. The pool itself measures 125 feet by 250 feet, and was once known as the largest public swimming pool east of the Mississippi River. The popular pavilion was destroyed by fire in 1972. The pool was conveyed to the City of Kenova in 1973. Presently, the Kenova Parks & Recreation Board oversee the operation and management of the facility.

2. Dreamland Pool
Regarding Dreamland Pool. J.D. Booth, a local ice maker, decided to open the pool after he needed to find a business that would use the excess water from his ice. How much ice was Mr. Booth making? Enough to fill a 250 feet by 125 feet long pool all summer!
