Casa de Cultura
1874
Inicialmente fue una casa particular construida por Don Francisco Amaya Avendaño para su hermano Mariano. Durante una época en éste inmueble se vendían tortas y se servían bebidas refrescantes. Durante las visitas de Don Venustiano Carranza a La Cañada, fue su casa de descanso, e inclusive fue adoptado como centro militar. Igualmente quien visitó y se hospedó en la actual Casa de la Cultura de La Cañada, fue el General Álvaro Obregón, Presidente electo de México, cuatro días antes de ser asesinado. Finalmente el inmueble fue adaptado para albergar la Casa de Cultura del Municipio de El Marqués.

1874
This was initially a private house built by Francisco Amaya Avendaño for his brother Mariano. For a time, cakes were sold and refreshing drinks were served here. During the visits of Venustiano Carranza to La Cañada, this was his resting place, and it was even adopted as a military center. Likewise, General Álvaro Obregón, President-elect of Mexico, visited and stayed at the Casa de la Cultura in La Cañada only four days
