Typical Floor Plan of Continental Central Fireplace Log House
First floor room arrangement
of Mifflinburg's log house
Heating and cooking in this log house differs from typical layouts. No signs of framing for such a large fireplace was found. Rather, a small 8" diameter pipe hole, which indicate perhaps a 10-place German stove, was present.
