1. Crayton Cove Marker
Inscription. This "Back Bay" area was settled in 1915. As Naples' first sheltered mooring, it became the community center for the pioneers building the Tamiami Trail as well as the fishing industry. The first pharmacy, the first newspaper, and all the important events, including the Swamp Buggy Ball, were based here.
 
Erected 1998 by The Dock at Crayton Cove and The Great Dock Canoe Race.
