On March 12, 1943 this temple was reopened for worship, declaring it a Sanctuary of Guadalupe
The Most Excellent Diocesan Bishop Dr. D. Emeterio Valverde Tellez, acting on the initiative of the First Chaplain, the Presbyter D. José A. Betancourt.
January 12, 1946 was the last time that Monsignor Valverde officiated before his illness and also authorized as part of the 200th Anniversary of the National Board on December 10th of the same year, the
Coronation of the Image of the Guadalupana, delegating the task to his Most Excellent Coadjutor, Bishop Manuel M. Del Campo, Titular Bishop of Aulona.
Due to the zeal of the First Chaplain and the followers from Silao of the Guadalupana, the church and annex were restored almost in their entirety and a bell was forged, all on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Holy Mary in 1953 and this plaque was placed on December 12, 1956.
