Regarding The Founding of Santiago de Guatemala. While it is somewhat strange to commemorate the 473rd anniversary of an event, this marker was placed in 2015 and probably was related to the general elections held that year. Santiago de Guatemala, founded in 1542, eventually became today's Antigua Guatemala.
