4. Washington's Headquarters - the Hendrik Van Allen House
General George Washington made his Headquarters in this house on July 14-15, 1777, when the Continental Army was traveling from Morristown, New Jersey to Smiths Clove, New York. It is located about ½ mile north of the marker.
