Epitacio Huerta y Santos Degollado.
Las descubrió el C. Lic. Adolfo Lopez Mateos
Presidente de la Republica, siendo Gobernador del Estado el C. Lic. David Franco Rodriguez.

Plaza of the Republic
In order to provide a tribute to two illustrious Mexicans, the Government of the State of Michoacán erected the statues of the Republican Generals
Epitacio Huerta and Santos Degollado.
They were inaugurated by Adolfo López Mateos, President of the Republic during the government of David Franco Rodríguez, Governor of the State.
