1. Chestnut St. Bridge Marker

Inscription. From 1830 to 1870 two waterways quartered the city: Mill Run, NE to SW, and the Feeder Canal, NW to SE. Here, for three blocks, they shared their courses before diverging; the Run to French Creek, the Canal Conneaut Lake, commercial contacts & distant markets.

Erected 2006 by Crawford County Historical Society.
