Inició sus estudios en Granada donde se graduó como Maestra de Primaria en el Colegio Francés Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Participó activamente en la vida politica del Departamento de Jinotega. Obtuvo conocimientos sobre Historia Universal, Geografia y Literatura. Estudiosa de la obra de Rubén Dario y Simón Bolivar. Miembro de la mesa Panamericana. Su fama se hizo eminente en la ciudad por su habilidad doxológica para escribir. Con el Seudónimo de "Alondra" participó en el Concurso lberoamericano de Literatura en 1977, siendo galardonada como Primer lugar, con Medalla de Oro. En 1988 Recibió la Orden Ramirez Goyena, Managua. En 1988 fué nombrada Ciudadana del Siglo, por su impecable labor magisterial. El 16 de Octubre del 2005 fue distinguida con el nombramiento de Hija Dilecta. Murió en Jinotega, a los 101 años de edad, el 22 de Noviembre del 2005. ,

She actively participated in the political life of the Department of Jinotega. She obtained knowledge about Universal History, Geography and Literature. She also studied the work of Rubén Dario and Simón Bolívar. Member of the Pan American Board, her fame became eminent in the city for her innate ability to write. With the pseudonym "Alondra" she participated in the Iberoamerican Literature Contest in 1977, being awarded First Place, with a Gold Medal. In 1988 she received the Order of Ramirez Goyena, Managua. In 1988 she was named Citizen of the Century, for her impeccable teaching work. On October 16, 2005, she was honored with the title of Daughter of the City. She died in Jinotega at 101 years of age, on November 22, 2005.
