Nació el 01 de Septiembre de 1904 en la ciudad de Jinotega. Inició sus estudios en Granada donde se graduó como Maestra de Primaria en el Colegio Francés Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Participó activamente en la vida politica del Departamento de Jinotega. Obtuvo conocimientos sobre Historia Universal, Geografia y Literatura. Estudiosa de la obra de Rubén Dario y Simón Bolivar. Miembro de la mesa Panamericana. Su fama se hizo eminente en la ciudad por su habilidad doxológica para escribir.
Con el Seudónimo de "Alondra" participó en el Concurso lberoamericano de Literatura en 1977, siendo galardonada como Primer lugar, con Medalla de Oro. En 1988 Recibió la Orden Ramirez Goyena, Managua. En 1988 fué nombrada Ciudadana del Siglo, por su impecable labor magisterial. El 16 de Octubre del 2005 fue distinguida con el nombramiento de Hija Dilecta. Murió en Jinotega, a los 101 años de edad, el 22 de Noviembre del 2005.
