buried in Benville Cemetery near Mt Sterling, IL. He weighed 1,041 pounds at his death. The Old East School in Pittsfield, IL, has an exhibit about him which includes a pair of his overalls.

4. Robert Earl Hughes's Overalls
This pair of overalls was for Robert Earl Hughes at age 23 when he weighed 807 pounds. The waistband is 108 inches and 11 yards of material was used. The overalls are on display at the Old East School Pike County Historical Society Museum in Pittsfield, IL.
