1. Juvenile Court of Cook County Building Marker
Inscription. The first Juvenile Court in the world was established in Chicago in 1899. From 1907 to 1921 it was housed in this building located across the street from Hull-House. The structure was the first to combine a juvenile court woth a detention home for dependent and delinquent children.
