The “Old Red Gondola” created over 30 years of fond memories, was the setting for numerous marriage proposals, and of course provided thousands of happy ski days at Gore! The gondola showcased spectacular Adirondack views that spanned over 100 miles. Check out these fun facts:
• Built in 1968

• 2,100 Vertical Rise
• 110 Four-Passenger Cabins
• Suspended by 24 Towers. From 40’-120’ tall (imagine working on the 120’ tower?)

Although this gondola retired, visit Gore Mountain for a ride on the Northwoods Gondola (shown at right) – offering beautiful views from Bear Mountain, one of Gore’s three unique peaks!
