1. Lauderdale County Archives Marker
Inscription.  The Lauderdale County Department of Archives and History was the state's first county archives department. Materials include the Civil War diary of James Palmer and more than 40 volumes on Civil War soldiers titled Confederate Deaths and Burials.
 
Erected 2014 by the Meridian/Lauderdale County Tourism Bureau. (Marker Number 10.)
