1. The Fern Karesh Hurst '68 Terrace Marker
Inscription. Fern Karesh Hurst, Class of 1968, came to Goucher College from Charleston, South Carolina. She graduated with a degree in political science and received a master's degree in city planning from the University of Pennsylvania. An advocate for Goucher and a longtime member of the college's Board of Trustees, Ms. Hurst served as vice chair of the board, led two capital campaigns for Goucher, and established the Committee of Visitors, a group of alumnae/i, donors, and friends who regularly share their knowledge and skills with the college community. She is active on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Jewish Women's Foundation of New York, of which she is founding president.
