The 1928 Wabash Station was once served by the "Delmar" and "City Limits" streetcar lines, buses, and the Wabash railroad's intercity and commuter trains. When St. Louis decommissioned its Delmar streetcar #10 in 1964, service ended on what is now the Loop Trolley route. Memories of the last day of the Hodiamont streetcar operation (three blocks north) in 1966 are vivid for many St. Louisans. They recall the days when streetcars were kind in this wonderful city.

Today, the Loop Trolley picks up the mantle of that service for a new generation of riders. At this important transit junction, the Loop Trolley is bringing a "new" way to ride to complement Metro's modern light rail trains and buses.
