Inscription. Commanded 3rd Maryland Brigade which checked the British Army advance in the Battle of North Point, September 12th, 1814, and prevented the junction of the British Army and Navy opposite Fort McHenry.
 
Erected 1932 by Colonel Nicholas Ruxton Moore Society, Children of American Revolution in Maryland.
