More about this marker. The roadway that is today’s Kentucky Route 321 here, was U.S. 23 when the marker was originally erected. The map on the reverse of this marker was originally color-coded to the legend, but the colors for the most part have worn off. You can still see the blue of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers, a touch of green on Morgan’s June 1864 raid, and a bit of red or brown color on some other routes, but the legend is no longer helpful with those colors.
