Inscription. Alberti, a native of Venice, settled near the Wall Street area of Manhattan and later in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn.

Presented by The Italian Historical Society of America, The Columbus Citizens Foundation, The City of Venice. The original marker was placed in the Battery June 2, 1958 as part of the commemoration of New York State's 'Year of History".
