The Maulhardt Winery
Built in the 1870's by Gottfried Maulhardt who was on the building committee for the Santa Clara Chapel along with his brothers Jacob and Anton plus Dominick McGrath, Thomas Cloyne & Christian Borchard. Gottfried grew 250 vines of the choicest varieties for the church. We have planted 60 vines of Blanc Zinfandel from the Santa Cruz Island that date back to the 1880's.
