1. Ireland-Hofer House Marker
Inscription. Purchased on September 13, 1978, for $78,000.00 from the First National Bank of South Jersey. Named for Dr. William R. Hofer and Emily G. Ireland. Listed on Wikipedia List of New Jersey Museums. This building is open for school tours and private tours, while being staffed by members of the historical society. This house underwent many renovations, including a second and third story being built as well as a cellar. Part of the Monroe Township Historical Society along with the Hall Street School, Reading Room and the Radix Station. Ruth White was the former Monroe Township Historical Society President (2018).
