1. William Buell House Marker
Inscription. William Buell Sr. (1751-) was one of Brockville's founders and the original landowner of this part of the village. He built and lived with his family in the four different houses he built near this intersection. The house shown here was Buell's third home. It was left to his second wife, Margaret (1827-1880), and then to his youngest child, Martha Ann Findlay, the wife of Robert Findlay.

The William Buell House was built in 1820, and stood on the opposite corner until 1974.
