1. Manure Spreader Marker
Inscription.  This is an original Cutting farm implement. It was designed to be tractor drawn. It spread horse and cow manure out on farm fields as fertilizer. The concrete bins behind this machine was where the manure was composted before being spread. The machine was manufactured by New Idea Company of Coldwater, Ohio.
 
Location. 40° 44.453′ N, 73° 9.593′ W. Marker is in Great River, New York, in Suffolk County. Marker can be reached from Ruland Road 0.2 miles south of Montauk Highway (New York State Route 27A). Marker is located along the walking trail in Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park, about 4/10 mile north of the parking lot. Touch for map.
