Walter Abbott Wood
In memory of Hon. Walter Abbott wood, 1815 - 1892. Industrialist and inventor. Wood mowing and reaping machines were sold throughout the world. His mansion stood high on the hill behind this marker and in 1926 it was joined to the newly built high school named in Wood's honor.
