This museum was opened in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company. It houses many collectibles of the activities of by-gone days of the company.
Much loved and included in the exhibit, with pride, is the fire engine of years ago, "Big Red", dated 1954, which is now used for company parades, fire prevention for children, and company funerals.
The creation of this museum is acknowledged with sincere appreciation to the officers members of the company, with a special tribute to Howard Blizzard, a life member, for the extensive carpentry work, planning, displays and miscellaneous tasks he performed for the completion of the museum.
Members of the team were:
Donald Mitchell, Sr.
Leonard Tylecki
Water Brittingham
Dennard Quillen, Jr.
